The headquarters of UPPSC is situated in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. The commission conducts examination for the various posts that include Deputy collector, Deputy superintendent of police and block development officers among other things. The organization is entrusted with the task of finding the suitable candidates for the post of the government required for the smooth functioning of the government of Uttar Pradesh.

The UPPSC is one of the oldest commission s in India as it was established in the year 1937 with headquarters in Allahabad where it is situated till now. So the commission can boast of having served the state for 75 years. Over the years the amount of work and infrastructure of the organization has increased to a great amount. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has a camp office in Lucknow. In the recent years, the number of applications for the state civil services have increased and hence roles has also increased substantially.
