Bihar School Examination Board also called BSEB or Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti locally, also prescribes syllabus for the examination. In addition to that the Bihar school examination board takes all the essential steps that it considers essential for smooth conduct of examination.

For the student of class 10th and 12th the Bihar School Examination Board conducts an Annual Secondary School Examination that is normally organized in the month of February and March and the results are declared in months of May or June. The board also conducts Supplementary School Examination in the month of August/September for the students who could not pass in the annual examination.

In addition to its role in school examinations the Bihar Board also conducts qualifying examination for the primary, middle and high school teachers. It also conducts departmental examinations for Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education among other things.

Karnataka Board has declared the results of class 10th and 12th (Karnataka PUC results 2013) today on May 6and once again the girls have outstayed boys in terms of overall pass ratio. Out of 8.36 lakhs for Karnataka SSLC 2013, the overall passing percentage remained 77.47 percent in which 82.30% girls have passed, while the percentage of boys passing the Karnataka board class 10th exam is 73.25%.
