Kushinagar News: Kushinagar is one of the most sacred Buddhist places situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the place where Lord Buddha attained the Mahaparinirvana (passing away) at the age of 80. After attaining Mahaparinirvana Lord Buddha?s body was cremated and the ashes were divided into eight parts and distributed among eight disciples. It is a pilgrimage site for people across the world. Chinese, Sri Lankan, Thai, and Japanese governments have constructed Buddhists temples alongside the ruins of monasteries and stupas.
