Kasab's testimony to be sent to Pak

A specially designated court hearing the Mumbai mayhem accused Ajmal Amir Kasab’s case has endorsed the prosecution request to send certified copy of the confessional statement of the lone surviving terrorist Kasab to Pakistan through proper channel.

Judge M L Tahilyani permitted the prosecutor Ujjal Nikam to make copies of Kasab’s confession, record of recovery of satellite phones and record of telephonic communications between perpetrators of 26/11 attacks and their handlers.

Ujjawal Nikam moved an application before the Special Sessions Court citing some of the evidence in the shape of document, which was collected during the course of investigation, was required to be sent to the Government of Pakistan as per their demands because Pakistan would need these evidences to prosecute some accused arrested there in 26/11 attack case.

The court on Wednesday would also frame charges against Kasab and two other accused — Fahim Ansari and Mohammad Sabahuddin Ahmed — on Wednesday and would give them an opportunity to plead to the charges.

The prosecution also asked the judge to issue non-bailable warrant against the 35 accused of Mumbai terror attacks, including Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, alleged mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks, who are wanted by the police.
