A Cultural personality not only represents his/her respective race, region and nation but also considered as the ambassador of a particular art form. The accidental demise of emerging musical talent Ishmeet Singh, who drowned on Tuesday in a swimming pool at a resort in the Maldives, has left all music lovers in theubcontinent in a state of shock.
Ishmeet was the cultural representative of the youths of South Asia, ambassador of the music and son of Punjab, India. Through the process of a reality show of Star television of India, which is a competition as well, the young Punjabi boy became the musical prince for South Asian music lovers.
As far as Bangladesh is concerned, when immediate past Voice of India competition was in broadcast, almost 80 percent of TV screens those connected with cable network were engaged in flashing the program. From executives to house wives, young stars to aged, all music lovers enjoyed the competition and at the end of the daily episode became fans of their personal choices.
At last, Ishmeet won the crown and became the prince of music not only in India, but also to the fans of Bangladesh and South Asia of course. But now he is no longer with us when the music world needed him very much.
All deaths are very painful; any unexpected death is more hurting and of course accidental death of a young man, who is so adored, pangs the heart like a bite of a snake which makes the whole soul intoxicated. With the departure of Ishmeet, Punjab lost her son, India lost her voice, the fans of the region lost their hero and the music lost a prince, a promising king of musical world.
There is nothing to say for the painful incident, let drop tears for the son, pray for the departed soul and let pay sympathy to the family members of Ishmeet who are to bear an unrecoverable wound at heart, an unbearable pain for all time. Ishmeet, you will always be alive in the deep of the heart of all music lovers.
