Aug 04: There is clamour, everywhere in Delhi’s political galleries. The ministers whose names are flashing with Ashok Malhotra’s land scam are tryg to come out with clean hands.
Ashok Malhotra was a happy man few days back cocooned in a shell protected by the blessings of politicians and high officials but after the finding of his involvement in fraudulent land deal of DDA plots which were part of ‘rehabilitation scheme for displaced slum dwellers’, these people are trying to corner themselves from him denying any relationship or familiarity.
CBI is turning every stone to get all the evidences against Ashok Malhotra and others, MCD officials are busy burning the records of the scam to conceal the evidences. Documents in MCD office are yelling loudly of MCD officials’ involvement in this case.
Ashok Malhotra used to run canteen in old secretariat and at Vikas Sadan that houses offices of DDA. During raids of various bungalows in north Delhi CBI claimed of hunted various paper related to plots in slum area. VIP numbers allotted to him too came into light which led Transport officers for a press release briefing the practice of allotting VIP numbers is as old as the registration of motor vehicles.
With the unfolding of the case new names associated with this case are coming to surface. Chief Minister’s aides and other ministers’ names throw much flash on Malhotra’s proximity with the Delhi politicians.
The extent of this multi crore scam is yet to be measured, claims of probe by the government and those names involved secluding themselves from the scam, is pointing towards the high drama which will either end in smear campaigning of the parties or will make Malhotra a scapegoat to save their images involved in this case. And as usual the case which came as a BANG will die as a WHIMPHER….
