Mining manager of CCI kidnapped: found dead in Assam

July 16: Mining Manager of Cement Corporation of India, Kailash Jha was found dead in a dense forest of Karbi Anglong district which borders Bangladesh by a lice team on Monday early in the morning.

Militants of Karbi Longri North Cachar Liberation Front (KLNLF) kidnapped the mining manager and ten other people on Sunday evening while returning from Dilai limestone quarry site which is 30 kilometers away from Bokajan.

A senior police official Purkayastha told that they could find out no visible injury on the body of the manager and they suspect that he suffered a heart attack due to the pressure of walk for long made by the militants. Body of the manager has been sent for examination to find out the true causes of his death.

Militants could deceive the security being disguised in the uniform of BSF. This body of militants is a section of militants who are against any talks with the government and disapprove ceasefire agreement concluded by united democratic People’s solidarity with center. This faction is also supposed to be close to ULFA and other tribal militant groups of the area.

Except two people, a driver and a handy work man all other have been released by the abductors including security officer Madan Kumar Bora.

Police and paramilitary forces are on the move to search for the still missing persons.

Within a week it is the third incident of abduction and killing of the government official. Earlier FCI official, P C Ram executive director was kidnapped by ULFA militants and later found dead after a cross firing between militants and security forces.

Apart from this on Sunday Ajay Deka a engineer of Public Works Department from Guwahati was also kidnapped by unidentified militants to ask for ransom to release him which has no trace till yet.
