Tue, 03 Jun 2008:
After much time-lapse, the CBI has taken over the case of the murder of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj to tie up the loose ends of the dual murder mystery. Eventually, Dr. Rajesh Talwar, father of Aarushi and the prime suspect, is taken on remand by the CBI after the failure of the plea to get the permission of a seven d custody.
He is to be produced in the Ghaziabad court today for custodial interrogation by the police.
Dr. Anita Durani who is said to be having an affair with Dr. Talwar, has also been formally questioned by the investigating agency at her residence.
The investigation march was extended to Nupur Talwar and Dinesh Talwar(brother of Dr. Rajesh) who is supposed to be very close to the accused.
The CBI seems to be in full spirits to solve the case as quickly as possible. The fierce investigations include the collecting of samples of blood and chipping small pieces from the staircase from where Hemraj was supposedly led to the terrace where he was found dead. Rajesh's laptop and Aarushi's desktop too have been recovered by y the CBI who is now in constant touch with the forensic experts from AIIMS and CFSL (Central Forensic Science Laboratory).
However, the CBI has found many holes in the shoe of the UP police. According to the CBI investigators, the crime ground was not handled and treated with due manner. Blood samples were not properly collected and the site was not even sealed. The cops allowed the relatives of Aarushi to perform the funeral ceremonies in the same room only where she was found dead with her throat slit.
According to the CBI, the case could have been solved within 24 hours had they taken strict applicable measures immediately. The 17 day time that has been wasted would weaken the grounds of further investigations.
