Hindalco Industries second quarter net up 12 percent

New Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS) Hindalco Industries, the Aditya Birla group flagship company, Friday said its net profit for the second quarter increased by 12.03 percent to Rs.7.2 billion, against Rs.6.43 billion in the corresponding period last year.

 

Net sales and operating revenue rose to Rs.56.83 billion inhe quarter under review from Rs.

49.66 billion in the corresponding period last year.

 

 

Hindalco reported a net profit of Rs.14.16 billion for the first half of this fiscal, a 14.14 percent growth over the corresponding period last year.

 

 

The company's net sales and operating revenues rose to Rs.103.30 billion in the first half of current fiscal, up from Rs.96.52 billion in the year-ago period.
