During summers, with mercury rising above 45 not only the body suffers due to excessive heat but the poor hair suffers most and demands intensive care. Heat strokes and an orhead sun nip all the moisture from the hair and leave them dry, lifeless and dull.
Different hair problems are common in summers like hair splits, dandruff, grey hair etc. To get rid of these problems in summer there is one golden solution and that is henna - which proves as a panacea. Not only does it give a cooling effect and relief from the heat but it also conditions dry hair.
This is for all those who do not want to colour their hair with chemical colours, as they can use it as a natural colour depending on the type of colour they want - red, bronze, black or just shinning hair.
Benefits of henna
- Gives natural conditioning to dry hair
- Relieves from dandruff
- Relieve from grey hair
- Natural hair colour
- Distresses the mind as its effect is cooling
How to give different colours to your hair
By using mehndi with a combination of different ingredients produces different colours.
- To get red colour of the hair one should mix kattha with henna.
- If one wants to give just bronze colour to hair a spoon coffee is all that is needed to mix with henna while soaking it a day earlier.
- To shine your hair coal black one needs to mix amla with mehndi powder.
- And just to condition your hair make a paste of henna and curd and keep it for some hours while applying a squeeze of lemon in the paste. Such a paste will not only condition hair but remove dandruff at the same time.
To make henna colour stable for some days, oil should be applied on hair after washing the hair.
