Bopanna-Raja out of Tashkent challenger

Tashkent, Oct 17 (IANS) Indian pair Rohan Bopanna and Purav Raja bowed out of the doubles quarterfinals against top seeds Oliver Marach of Austria and Lukasz Kubot of Poland at the $1,25,000 Tashkent Challenger here Friday.

 

Marach and Kubot were made to toil hard in the first set but Bopanna and Raja faid to put up a fight in the second set to go down 6-7 (4-7) , 3-6.

 

 

The top seeds now play fourth-seeded Russian Michail Elgin and Alexandre Kudryavtsev in the semi-finals.
