Katy Perry's hippy mum once dated Jimi Hendrix

London, Oct 9 (ANI): American singer Katy Perry has revealed that her pastor parents were no holier than her in their young days.

 

Perry, whose parents are disgusted by her hit lesbo anthem I Kissed A Girl, said that her mum Mary Hudson had been a hippy who ran away from home to travel the world, and endeup dating guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.

 

"He just came up to her in a club and picked her out," the Sun quoted her as saying.

 

But her mother's past was nothing compared to her father's, who had been a major LSD dealer.

 

Her dad Keith was a close friend of Timothy Leary, an early advocate of the psychedelic drug, and specialised in a potent strain of the mind-bending chemical called Strawberry Fields.

 

"Dad would have died from one tab too many if he hadn't found God," the singer added. (ANI)
