Taare Zameen Par again proves versatility of Aamir

Dec 29:  The message: Every child is special - and so is Aamir, who again proved his versatility as an actor and director giving a new dimension to filmmaking with a sensitive and unusual topic that touches everyone’s imagination. The actor makes his arrival with his directorial venture are Zameen Par (TZP) which is making raves both at the box office and at peoples’ heart.

The movie has sunk so well because of its sensitivity of portrayal of a child demeanor and the agony he passes through his own confinement and conviction.

Darsheel Safari as Ishan aka Inu is marvelous and sure to evoke envy in those acting stalwarts with his acting skills and you feel an urge to comfort him when he is drowning in tears in the silence of night and support him when he falls.

There is a pleasure in watching Inu in whatever he does, his world has colours and his feelings are thought provoking.

Some of the scenes are hilarious but soon it is entrusted with seriousness as if a caterpillar is about to open its eyes but it is dismayed at the cruelties of the world around it so shut its eyes.

Inu’s parents too have done a great portrayal of their character when a father feel proud to show his authority and a mother questions her own self as where she was wrong is very much an Indian family phenomenon.

Aamir experiment is praiseworthy as if he has brought the problem of a child suffering from dyslexia; he has given a very humane way to reach the solution.

He is careful by not going overboard with the problem rather see a problem as a problem and presented it in way so that other too can feel the problem.

In a very subtle way the film teaches the nuances of a responsible teacher who can inject confidence and self belief in his pupils, the same has been reflected when Inu utter Thomas Alva Edison’s name after remaining silent on his inability to read and write properly.

In this world where things are changing fast we sometimes forget that other people too are there trying to grapple the speed of the world and just a helping hand can make the difference.

There are moments which will make you break down and cry and you wish to be there to ruffle Inu’s hair only to hug him tightly to absorb his pain.

Longing for mother when he is away with the maverick song Maa is painfully beautiful but that is also a reminder that many child withdraw from this world and that not every child is lucky in getting a Sir like Nikumbh.

With this movie we can celebrate the birth of a little star like Darsheel and a Director like Aamir.
