Jacko denies skin cancer report

New York, Sun, 17 May 2009 ANI

New York, May 17 (ANI): Michael Jackson's spokesman has dismissed reports claiming that the singer has skin cancer, insisting he is in "the best of health."

"He is great," Dr. Tohme Tohme told the New York Daily News.

"He's in perfect health ... he doesn't have any diseases whatsoever," Tohme added.

On Saturday, Britain's Sun newspaper had reported that the "Beat It" singer has cancerous spots on his body and pre-cancerous cells on his face.

It further claimed that Jackson was diagnosed last month and has been told the condition is treatable.

Blasting the claims, Tohme said the report was just "not true."

"He is in the best of health," he added.

Jackson still plans to go ahead with a series of sell-out comeback concerts in London in July, sources told the Sun.

"He was at first very concerned, but says he has been assured by the doctors that they can treat this and he will recover," an insider was quoted as saying.

"He said he's insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on," the source added. (ANI)
