Dhaka, May 15 (ANI): Anti-crime force personnel in Bangladesh have arrested Jahedul Islam Sumon alias Mizan, a top militant of the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from the country's Mirpur area.
The arrest took place after Mizan's wife set off a bomb that sent Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel running for cover on Thursday night.
Mizan's wife, Sharmin Haque Lata, was injured along with her two children. But after the explosions police managed to nab him.
Police were on his trail for the past two years. Mizan was earlier sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by a court in absentia. And at the time of his arrest, the militant was busy trying to re-group JMB and trained more militants on explosives. (ANI)
