35 killed as truck plunges into a river in Bihar

Patna, Aug 3 (ANI): At least 35 farm labourers were killed and 15 injured when an overloaded truck carrying them, plunged into a river at Ghongsa village in Bihar's Lakhisarai district.

 

According to the police, the mishap occurred when 50 labourers were returning home to Mansi in Khagaria district around 9.15 pm on Saturday.

 

The injured, some of them in serious conditions, have been admitted to a Government hospital at Sikandra. The death toll could rise as ten of the injured are in a critical condition. (ANI)
