Somdev reaches second round of Zagreb Challenger

Zagreb (Croatia), May 12 (IANS) India's Somdev Devvarman advanced to the second round of Zagreb Challenger tennis, beating Argentina's Leonardo Mayer here Tuesday.

 

Somdev came back strongly after losing the first set to post a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory against the third seed Argentine in the $50,000 clay event.

 

 

He will next face the winner of the match between Martin Fischer of Austria and Brazil's Ricardo Hocevar.
