Vaughan tip inspired my career-saving ton, says Collingwood
London, Aug.2 (ANI): England all-rounder Paul Collingwood credited captain Michael Vaughan for inspiring him to his career-saving century on Friday.
"Vaughany told me 'Don't be reckless but be aggressive. I enjoyed having that freedom from the skipper - going out and trying to take the bowlers on. That's how I play my best cricket. I felt under a lot of pressure and this innings was very satisfying. This was very special. Everything went my way and it's certainly a day I'll never forget," The Sun quoted Collingwood, as saying.
Collingwood reached his ton with a six, but there was no wild celebration.
"It was muted because I wanted to keep the same rhythm - I didn't want the celebration to affect that. I wanted to stay focused instead of running around like a loony tune," he added. (ANI)
