Ramasamy vows to protect Hindu temples in Penang
Kuala Lumpur, May 9 (ANI): Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy has vowed to personally ensure that no Hindu temples would be demolished or torn in the state, the Tamil Nesan claims.
He urged the temple committees to run their temples properly and resolve any problems in religious affairs soon.
The Star Online quoted him as saying that these committees should be more concerned about their temple affairs and seek his assistance if they were facing problems.
Ramasamy also said the temple committees should work towards organizing more religious activities so that the Indian community does not neglect its values and culture.
He was speaking to reporters after visiting the Sri Renganathar Temple in Bukit Dumbar on Tuesday. (ANI)
