Katie Holmes lands in the Big Apple for Broadway debut
Washington, Aug 1 (ANI): Katie Holmes was spotted out and about in New York City recently. Holmes has arrived in the Big Apple ahead of her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
Previews of her debut play start on Sept. 18 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. The play also stars John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson and will officially open on Oct. 16.
Holmes, 29, will be in the production for 16 weeks. She and hubby Tom Cruise plan to stay in the city during that time.
"Katie's not a celebrity type. She's done brilliant work in films like Pieces of April and The Ice Storm," usmagazine.com quoted the play's producer, Eric Falkenstein, as saying.
Holmes' character, Ann, is a woman who visits the family of her former lover, who's a missing pilot.
Ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday matinees will go as high as 116.50 dollars, with Wednesday matinees selling for 111.50 dollars.
Holmes will also make a guest appearance on ABC's Eli Stone this fall. (ANI)
