New Delhi, May 6 (IANS) Jeffrey Archer, king of racy fiction, is coming to India to hunt for a director who could adapt one of his bestsellers into a movie.

Also a playwright and a former politician apart from being an author, Archer, 69, on his tour, will be looking for an 'ideal director who could very convincingly and skilfully transform' his 'awe-inspiring novels which have gone on to become best sellers into a movie'.

Hailed as a 'master entertainer' by Time Magazine, Archer has written acclaimed novels like 'Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less', 'Kane and Abel' and 'The Prodigal Daughter' over the last 30 years. He will be in India for the 'Landmark Jeffrey Archer Tour' May 11-19.

'I consider myself fortunate to have received so much love and appreciation from my fans all over including India. It is my dream to gift my fans with a movie of their all time favourite novel as a humble reciprocation for all the love that they have showered on me over the years. I hope to come across my ideal director who could help my dream come true during my visit to India later this week,' Archer said in a statement released here Wednesday.

The name of the novel that will be adapted into a movie has, however, not been disclosed yet.
