New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) 'Concerned' over the crisis in Nepal, India's ruling Congress party Monday said 'democratic process is necessary' for stability in that country.
'Its an internal matter of Nepal. We are not going to interfere. But we have done everything to put Nepal on the democratic path,' Congress spokesperson M. Veerappa Moily told reporters here.
'We are greatly concerned about the developments in Nepal and there are some disturbances (there). They are our close neighbours. Democratic process is necessary for stability,' Moily said.
Nepal was plunged into political crisis after Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda Monday resigned as the prime minister following a major row over the sacking of the army chief. Prachanda blamed Nepal's political parties and foreign powers for hindering his government.
