Sep 18: As a corollary to the country wide protest against the nuclear deal with US CPI-M also arranged a rally in the capital to protest the same. In the CPM rally on Tuesday, general secretary Prakash Karat said that government should postpone the negotiation regarding the nuclear deal till six months only till the next session of parliament starts.
He asked the government not to operationalise the deal for the next six months just to make a point that there happens a full-fledged discussion on the Indo-US nuclear deal in the next session of parliament.
Statements o f left have come just one day ahead of the UPA-Left committee meeting on Wednesday to discuss the implications of the Hyde act.
On Monday the government also sent the response to the note submitted by the Left having the apprehensions over the nuclear deal and the implications of the Hyde act telling the deal the best possible deal under present circumstances comparing it with China 123 agreement. In the document the government wrote that this deal is better than that of China as China does not have the right to reprocess the spent nuclear fuel.
Meeting of the Left will also discuss the response of the government today. Left also warned government against going ahead with India-specific safeguards which would mean to operationalise the deal.

Mr Karat
Ask yourself this question. Did ever China cared for India that you care it so much? Secondly when Communist China can open up for deal with USA and go ahead with trade What are you Communist Comrade doing with this Idea? Wake up from you dream, I know you have a nice dream but it is only a dream and have courage to face the reality of today?
