Ahmedabad, April 30 (IANS) Voting in Gujarat's 26 Lok Sabha constituencies concluded Thursday with 46 to 49 percent of the voters casting their ballot, officials said.
'I am saying 46 to 49 percent turnout because to arrive at an exact percentage of voting in Gujarat today (Thursday) would take some more time,' Gujarat's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anita Karwal told IANS.
'The final voting percentage numbers for Gujarat would be available only tomorrow (Friday),' Karwal added.
The voting percentage in Gujarat during the first three hours starting 7 a.m. was 20 percent which went up to 25 percent by 2 p.m. Voting picked up momentum during the last half-an-hour of polling.
