Hyderabad, Apr 30 (ANI): Three childhood friends living in Mahadipatnam area of Hyderabad have come up with their own unique way of serving the community.

The popular belief that providing water to a thirsty person is the best deed ever has been incorporated by these three men, who irrespective of being from different religious backgrounds have come together to serve the mankind.

Shabaz khan, Ramakrishna and Shafi put up water stalls, called samundar'uring summer and serve people chilled water in clean containers. People make bee line at the stalls.

The unbearable hot summers take a toll on the people here. In such circumstances, a glass of fresh cold water acts as a blessing for the residents.

Shabaz Khan first thought of the service, followed by his friends.

The three noble men cater to the people traveling and working in the area, especially the hard working rickshaw pullers, auto and bus drivers.

"I have 8-10 workers who help me in this task. I give them afternoon meal and pay daily wages of about 100 to 150 rupees. My friends Ramakrishna and Shafi support and help me throughout in this cause," said Shabaz Khan.

All three friends lend their support in whatever way they can for the cause. With time, more people were attracted towards this noble cause and started lending a hand to Shabaz and the other two.

"I am associated with this for past 10 years. This service is being organized for around 40 years. We all are childhood friends. We serve water to around 1 lakh people. All of us, we pool in money for this cause," saidamakrishna.
