Tears for a Music Prince

A Cultural personality not only represents his/her respective race, region and nation but also considered as the ambassador of a particular art form. The accidental demise of emerging musical talent Ishmeet Singh, who drowned on Tuesday in a swimming pool at a resort in the Maldives, has left all music lovers in the subcontinent in a state of shock.

 


Ishmeet was the cultural representative of the youths of South Asia, ambassador of the music and son of Punjab, India. Through the process of a reality show of Star television of India, which is a competition as well, the young Punjabi boy became the musical prince for South Asian music lovers.


As far as Bangladesh is concerned, when immediate past Voice of India competition was in broadcast, almost 80 percent of TV screens those connected with cable network were engaged in flashing the program. From executives to house wives, young stars to aged, all music lovers enjoyed the competition and at the end of the daily episode became fans of their personal choices.


At last, Ishmeet won the crown and became the prince of music not only in India, but also to the fans of Bangladesh and South Asia of course. But now he is no longer with us when the music world needed him very much.


All deaths are very painful; any unexpected death is more hurting and of course accidental death of a young man, who is so adored, pangs the heart like a bite of a snake which makes the whole soul intoxicated. With the departure of Ishmeet, Punjab lost her son, India lost her voice, the fans of the region lost their hero and the music lost a prince, a promising king of musical world.


There is nothing to say for the painful incident, let drop tears for the son, pray for the departed soul and let pay sympathy to the family members of Ishmeet who are to bear an unrecoverable wound at heart, an unbearable pain for all time. Ishmeet, you will always be alive in the deep of the heart of all music lovers.

5. India TV star Ishmeet Singh died yesterday in a swimming pool at Dhonveli Beach and Spa Resort. The 20 year old singer arrived in Maldives yesterday morning to take part in a Star Voice of Maldives scheduled for August 1. Local media in reference to resort management reports that Ishmeet was unable to swim but had gone in to the deep end of the swimming pool at the resort and consequently drowned to death. He was with his friends at the time. The incident occurred between 1715 and 1720 yesterday evening. Ishmeet was taken by a resort launch to ADK hospital in Male' after several unsuccessful attempts to resuscitate him by the resident doctor. However eyewitness has told Miadhu Daily that Ishmeel had hit head on the pool when he dived in to the pool. Further they claim that drowning may not be the cause of the death as it highly likely that Ishmeet may have suffered head injuries resulting in the unfortunate accident. Eyewitness also confirms that Ishmeet knew how to swim. Police have begun their investigations and are now questioning the witnesses. Next Group, the Maldivian organizers of the Star Voice of Maldives scheduled for the week end, in which Ishmeet was to perform, has not made any official comment on the matter. Further, sources say arrangements are underway to airlift Ishmeet?s body back to India. Ishmeet was a rising star in Indian music industry.
