Carla Bruni wants to be the next Jackie Kennedy
Washington, July 30 (ANI): Carla Bruni has said that she sees herself as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, another First Lady who achieved style icon status.
In an interview with Vanity Fair Magazine, the former supermodel, pop singer and now wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy said she welcomed comparisons with John F Kennedy's wife who was renowned for her sense of style particularly during her husband's presidency.
"She was so young and modern," she told Vanity Fair magazine.
"Unconsciously I would project myself more like Jackie Kennedy than for instance, Madame de Gaulle, who would be much more like the classical French woman behind her husband," she added.
In the interview with the US magazine, Bruni disclosed that she and President Sarkozy are trying for a baby.
Bruni already has a seven-year-old son, Aurelien, from a previous relationship.
"I'd love to have children with Nicolas. I hope to, if I am young enough. It would be a dream," she said, but ruled out fertility treatment: "If it comes, I'd be the happiest person in the world, but if it doesn't come, I'm not going to tempt the Devil. If life doesn't give me another child, well, it has given me so much already." (ANI)
