"The UML will join the Nepal Government under Maoist leadership only if the Nepali Congress is on board," he added.
He also said a majority of UML leaders are against forging any kind of alliance with Maoists.

Stating that Maoists, as the largest political party in the Constituent Assembly (CA), must get a chance to form the next Government, Pokharel said, "But the Maoists should understand that it can't claim the major ministerial portfolios once their leader becomes the Prime Minister."
"Major portfolios must be shared among other parties in the government while the Maoists take the post of Prime Minister," he added.
Regarding the three demands recently put forth by Maoists as conditions for the Maoists taking leadership in forming the government, he said the UML won't accept Maoist conditions. (ANI)
