Now, sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik makes images on polls
Bhubaneswar, April 20 (IANS) Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik has found a unique way of asking people to elect the right leader for the country - he has created sculptures of Parliament House and some top leaders on the Puri beach in Orissa.
The sand sculptures include a five feet high image of Parliament House and images of important leaders of political parties, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) L.K. Advani.
'We used five tonnes of sand and worked for about seven hours to complete the images,' Patnaik, who was assisted by his students in the work, told IANS.
'Through this we are requesting voters to choose a right leader for the country,' said Patnaik.
Patnaik has participated in more than 39 international sand sculpture championships across the globe and has won many awards.
