London, July 28 (ANI): Rock band Sex Pistols' swearing on live TV has topped the 'Most Requested TV Clips' poll.
The punk rock band created a stir when they used the F word in a 1976 interview with Bill Grundy on Thames TV's Today programme.
In the poll conducted by FremantleMedia Archives on its 40th birthday, Pamela Anderson running on the beach in Baywatch was the second most requested TV clip.
Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts, X Factor's Leona Lewis, and Pop Idol's Will Young are also in the top ten list.
Other most requested clips include Scott and Charlene's wedding in Neighbours and Jack Regan of The Sweeney, played by John Thaw, saying "Shut it" or "You're nicked".
"While talent show winners dominate the requests we receive for TV clips, classics from the 70s and 80s have enduring appeal," The Sun quoted Gordon Craig, of Fremantle, as saying.
The ten most requested TV clips are:
1 Sex Pistols.
2 Pamela Anderson.
3 Paul Potts.
4 The Sweeney cop Jack Regan's catchphrases.
5 Leona Lewis.
6 Will Young winning Pop Idol.
7 Scott and Charlene's wedding in Neighbours.
8 Benny Hill chase scene.
9 Tommy Cooper's catchphrase "Just like that".
10 Kenny Everett's characters including Cupid Stunt and the catchphrase "It's all done in the best possible taste". (ANI)
