Like Shoaib, his look-alike also waiting for a break
Lahore, July 28 (ANI): Like Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, his look-alike Ehsan Yaqoob too is going through a hard time, as he struggles to make his both ends meet.
Yaqoob has been pursuing a career in showbiz for almost six years, but has failed so far. He said that he had met many people for the purpose, but all in vain. He said he was also willing to act in films, and wished to act alongside actress Reema.
He said that once a fake producer promised to get him work and took money from him. "When I asked him about his promise, he took a few photos of me with a wannabe model and didn't see me again," he said.
Yaqoob is an intermediate and has done several computer courses, but is yet to start earning.
He said that he was a poor man and could not wait for a chance for too long. "If I don't get a chance in showbiz, I will join the police, but then I will be very disappointed and all my dreams will shatter," the Daily Times quoted Yaqoob as saying.
"It took me two years of intense practice to copy Shoaib Akhtar's bowling style. Now I have the same action though not the same speed," he while introducing himself as "Junior Shoaib".
Yaqoob said that he was in class tenth when people started calling him Shoaib. Since then, the 'Rawalpindi Express' became his idol and he copied the sports star's style and action. Yaqoob said that when he first met Akhtar, the latter had been quite surprised and spoke with him in a good way. (ANI)
