Wembley pitch a cause of worry for Arsenal's Wenger

London, Apr. 18 (ANI): Arsenal coach-cum-manager Arsene Wenger fears his team's FA Cup dreams could come unstuck because of a dodgy Wembley pitch today.

Gunners boss Wenger believes his team's passing game will be seriously affected by the poor playing surface against Chelsea.

He said: "I loved the old Wembley and I'm not too impressed by the new stadium. Historically, we always used to play on bad grounds and dreamed of playing on the perfect Wembley grass. When I was a boy I played on fields. I'd watch the final on TV and the pitch was a miracle."

"At that time, nowhere else in the world had the quality of that Wembley pitch. So it's a big disappointment when you hear the new pitch is not so good, that it's not as convincing as the former ground," The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.

Wenger's team has never played at the new 750 million pound Wembley.

He said: "I've only watched one game there, the first FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United in 2007. It was not a very exciting game but the pitch certainly didn't look special. Hopefully, this time I'll have a different impression." (ANI)
