Villagers face hardships as floodwater inundates houses in Uttar Pradesh
Pakrihwa village (Uttar Pradesh), July 27 (ANI): Villagers are facing hardships as floodwater continued its inundating spree engulfing several villages in Uttar Pradesh.
The villages have turned into water stretches and fields look similar to ponds. The roads connecting these places to others have also submerged in the floodwater.

People of one such village said that they were not getting any help from the authorities.
"We are facing problems as water has submerged our entire village. Water has crept in our houses. We are facing shortage of food. Transport is another problem and we haven't got boats. So far no official has visited our village," bemoaned Kitabbullah, resident of Pakrihwa village.
Villagers blamed the state and central government for neglecting them and not providing adequate help.
"For last eight days water has submerged our houses. (Reporter asking- Does anybody from authority has come to alleviate your problems?) No," complained Sangeeta, villager.
