Tirumala temple orders a probe against special treatment for celebrities
April 26: The temple management of Lord Venketeswara at Tirumala, has ordered a probe for the treatment given to bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai on their wedding occasion. During their visit to the temple, the temple had arranged special entry and ritual ceremony baring the entry commoners to the temple.

According to temple authority any kind of special treatment or facilities would not be allowed for any high profile personality whether film star, industrialists or sports person during their visit.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board has asked the newly appointed Executive Officers K V Ramanachary to investigate the matter as it has caused public inconvenience.
The temple also allowed a time period of one hour in the morning and evening for VIP darshan (visit) on priority basis. However, this darshan is only allowed in the first four days of the week. The Board has also decided to increase the price for VIP darshan from Rs 200 to Rs 500 and also declared to offer free ladoo prasadam, which are sold nowadays in Rs 25.
