Taliban rocket attack destroys ten NATO supply vehicles in Peshawar

Peshawar, Apr.12 (ANI): At least ten NATO supply trucks were destroyed on Sunday when some unidentified militants fired rockets at the NATO supply terminal located on the Ring Road here.

 

According to The News, several rockets were fired at the terminal, igniting a major fire which engulfed the supply laden vehicles.

 

Several fire tenders were pressed in to service to douse the fire. The fire fighters were struggling to overcome the flames till reports last came-in.

 

Sources said exchange of gunfire between the security personnel and attackers was going-on.

 

This is the second such attack in the past two days in the district.

 

On Friday, in similar incident, six NATO oil tankers were charred by suspected Taliban fighters in Chamkani region. (ANI)
