Two killed in hit-and-run case in Delhi

New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) Two men were killed Saturday when a speeding car hit their motorcycle from behind near the Akashardham temple in east Delhi.

 

The victims, identified as Lalit and Ravinder, both aged 25, were reportedly hit by a speeding Tata Sumo car around 2.35 p.m. The driver of the car fled from the spot after the accident, police said.

 

 

The victims, residents of Uttam Nagar, were rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.

 

 

The police said a case has been registered at the Pandav Nagar police station and a search was on to trace the car and its driver.

 

 

'We are also trying to reach the victims' families,' said a police officer.
