China warns against Pak based 'terror movement' threatening strikes inside Mainland
London, Apr.9 (ANI): China has asked Pakistan to take action against the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), as it has intelligence inputs that the group is plotting to strike inside the country.
Former Minister Mushahid Hussain said that the Chinese officials had warned about the threat during his visit to Central Asia.
"They told me that the ETIM has its military headquarters in the Tribal Areas, and is planning to attack China on the 60th anniversary celebration of the communist revolution in October," The Daily Times quoted Hussain, as saying.
He said that during President Zardari's visit to Shanghai in February, China's Public Security Minister Meng Jianzhu had also discussed about the threat.
Hussain informed that last month China had also sent a special envoy to Islamabad to discuss the threat posed by the ETIM. (ANI)
