Sep 07: There is a big twist in Delhi School Sex Racket case as Police has found the so called ‘sting operation’ carried out by ‘LIVE INDIA’ TV channel on a school teacher allegedly forcing her students into prostitution seems to be fake in the first appearance.

The case is under the umbrella of Crime Branch, which is checking all the dimensions of the news and found several loopholes in the so called ‘sting operation’. The investigation team has arrested the accused Uma Khurana last night from the hospital and questioned her. Earlier police have also questioned to the driver of the vehicle in which string operation was conducted. The police found a different angle in this case.

According to the police, there might be a clash between Virendra Arora, a suspect of supplying girl to the school teacher and Uma Khurana, the prime accuse of sex racket case as called by the Private Television channel over the repayment of Rs 1 lakh which Uma Khurana owned from Virender Arora and was not taking interest to return it. Virendra Arora informed the reporter of ‘LIVE INDIA’ channel regarding the sex racket allegedly conducted by Uma Khurana, who contacted the victim girl of the sting operation.

The police believes that the victim girl is neither a student nor a prostitute, but was a journalist in her early twenties in a small news paper in Noida and she was given to believe that sting work would enhance her job prospects and also save the lives of innocents trapped by Khurana. The police has arrested her under Section 192 (fabricating evidence), 193 (punishment for false evidence), 211 (false charges with intention to injure), 419 (impersonation) and 420 (cheating) of IPC.

Police have found no evidence against Uma khurana till now and said, “Neither was the girl shown in the sting a student of Khurana, nor had a deal been fixed. The girl enacted it all with the other reporter. She was part of a conspiracy to implicate the teacher”, said Additional Commissioner (Crime) Muktesh Chander.

According to police sources, Virendra Arora, a small businessman and living in the trans-Yamuna area of Delhi has been already arrested on the disclosure of Uma as she said that he had provided the girl who was shown in the sting operation. Investigators said that it was Arora’s idea to frame the teacher in the sex racket who had fallen out with Khurana, with whom he used to run an informal chit fund. Virendra had asked Prakash to loom Khurana by offering her a partnership in a jewellery business. He had said it would be easy to deceive her into revealing her prostitution ring, as she can do anything for earning easy money as the police informed.

The Police have informed that LIVE INDIA channel is not supporting to the investigation team as the channel has nor make available the unedited tape to the police. On the other hand, the CEO of the channel has claimed to provide full support to the investigating team and also had sent the unedited tape to the court.

The police have also arrested the reporter of the channel in the suspicion of framing the alleged teacher in the sex racket by conducting fake sting operation. Though the matter is still in the court and today Delhi’s Tis Hazari court has sent the reporter for seven days imprisonment alleged charge of conducting fake sting operation to frame any individual.

On the other hand Uma, the alleged and the teacher had been sacked from the school by the school authority as the school authorities had identified her in the CD of the sting operation on Sep 01. At present she is under the custody of crime branch and on the basis of her disclosure, these new dimensions come from.

Arvinder singh Lovely, Delhi Education Minister said, "The official report is yet to come, only then we will decide what further action to take," after asking the fate of Uma Khurana, who is likely to be trapped in the sting operation.

On the fake sting operation, Priyaranjan Das Munshi, Minister of Information and Broadcasting said, “Now days, it is the prime work of two or three specific TV channels to conduct the sting operation not for extracting the truth, but only to boost the TRP of the Channel. We will soon put a bill before the Parliament to pass it against these fake sting operations.”

THE SO CALLED "STING OPERATION";IS THE BYE PRODUCT OF AN INCOMPETENT COLLECTIVE TV "NEWS",CHANNELS THAT SPRUNG OUT IN THE 90'S LIKE TOADS IN A POLLUTED WELL !
mostly run and owned by the Baanias of differing hues and shades ;and the national obsession of sex and sleaze upon which the Taaliban style moral policing has run amok.

This is horrible, these sort of operation can ruin the whole career/ life of any employee/ person. the culprits should be brought to books and punshid. Apology to be asked in writing in front page of all newspapers. Media too should be careful before telecasting, very irresponsible act. Who can fulfil the losses if Uma found not guilty?

frist thing what come in my mind that tv channel should be sued.frist is their reponsibilty to feel sorry to the teacher.this is the serious matter should be taken lightly by gov.people were angry after hearing the news who was reposible if some thing worst had happened.this all media fault they make person a hero in day and beggar the next day.here is one current example in one of the leading news channel he was commenting about the indian cricket ongoing cricket they were down 1-3 he was saying it was impossible to win 2 in a row and they did it.now they are making them hero.i should'nt say they speak without even thinking.my advise to the media channel is atleast hire the people who has little bit of brain, thay don't even imagen what will be the affect of what the are speaking.

i think most of the media today donot raise any social issues. actually they sold to big big politicians and to those who have money, basically today's media is not for the poor but for the rich. though media is raising many issues but not up to the standard. just to take an example, it was of no use to highlight sajay dutt issue in the entire print and electronic media. whatsoever, the sting operation which the media took is indeed good one and should fight till the last and get proper facts and data. further i would ask all the print media and electronic media to raise even social issues more seriously.

This was irresponsible act of media, nowaday almost all the TV channels and some of the print medea groups has become so commercial that without confiming the truth just to increase their circulation they do such henious act, now just think of ms khurana, how much she was tormented, the mental trouma she faced, can we give her reputation back, now such medea persons should be severely punished, so that other meadea persons may take lesson out of it, even such channels should be suspend for a week's time. The police and the administration should not come under the pressure of medea, before taking any action they should confirm the truth by other reliable sources.
