Michael Crichton's new novels slated for posthumous release
London, April 7 (ANI): Two new books by Jurassic Park writer Michael Crichton have been slated for posthumous release, as per his publisher.
According to HarperCollins, 'Pirate Latitudes', a 17th Century adventure in Jamaica, will be published in November this year.
Publisher Jonathan Burnham said the second novel, whose title is not yet revealed, will hit the stores in 2010.
Meanwhile, he was on the look out for a co-writer to finish the incomplete second technological thriller.
Burnham described the book as "eminently and deeply and thoroughly researched".
"It's packed through with great detail about navigation and how pirates operated, and links between the New World and the Caribbean and Spain," the BBC quoted him as telling the New York Times.
Crichton lost his life to throat cancer, which was not made public until his death on November 4, 2008.
Along with the Jurassic Park, he also authored other works including Congo and Disclosure, which were all adapted for the big screen.
The late 66-year-old was also the creator of the Emmy Award-winning medical drama series ER, which was aired for 15 years. (ANI)
