Jimmy Page's speech pours cold water on Led Zep reunion
London, July 24 (ANI): Bad news for the Led Zeppelin fans, the much-awaited reunion has been deferred once again - all because of a speech by guitarist Jimmy Page during the MOJO Honours bash.
Apparently band member Jimmy Page's award acceptance speech at the O2 last year didn't go down well with fellow band mate Robert Plant, as he failed to thank him while collecting the band's award.
"Robert was really disappointed that he didn't merit a mention. The award was for the band's performance, so he thought he should have at least been thanked," the Sun quoted a source, as saying.
While accepting the Best Live Act Award Page did not once thank Plant, who was not present at the event. (ANI)

August 8, 2008 at 12:00 AMYou Cannot Be Serious! It is appearing as if Robert is trying to paint Page as the villain as he gallivants across America with Krauss. Although she appears as a prime piece of meat, should we play Judas to sell Pagey short? At a glance of TSRTS new edition, it wasn't just the music. The world truly thirsts for another Led Zeppelin! Anything short would be...short. Truth is the world needs Robert. He isn't the greatest voice in the world but the chemistry with Page and Baldwin...let us just hope and pray for the best.
In short, whatever Kraus is giving Robert wouldn't compare to what he and Led Zeppelin would give to the world.

August 3, 2008 at 12:00 AMPlant has always been a bit jealous that Zeppelin was Page's band, and the years don't make a difference: it is Page's band.

July 25, 2008 at 12:00 AMThere probably won't ever be another Led Zeppelin concert and the fans will just have to come to that realization. Fact is, Robert has proven to be the real workhorse of the band. Since the passing of John Bonham, Robert has put out 10 solo records (writing more than 70 songs) and multiple collaboration albums. (Excluding the Page/Plant stuff) Compare that to Jimmy?s 6. The volume of material is incomparable. Robert is travelling down a different path. The fans should either embrace this new mode, or revert to catching local tribute bands that regurgitate the same old dribble day after day, week after week. What can be said about the other 3 remaining musicians ? lazy.

July 25, 2008 at 12:00 AMGrumpy old men...christ!...I mean, it would be great to see these guys play, just get together and write some new material, especially since Jones has had some good solo outings and Page hasn't issued any material, but this griping stuff. It's like Gilmour and Waters of the floyd, you probably should only do it for the music or the fans, few get to the status as musicians as a member of floyd or a zeppelin and all these guys do is cheese out on themselves.

July 24, 2008 at 12:00 AMRobert Plant needs to think about this because he has a lot of fans out there that love led zeppelin. i really hope that it leaves this behind and they will tour!

to jen....i wouldnt really call the remaining members of Led Zeppelin lazy, at all....for one, John Bonham is dead, Page has done all sorts of mixing and playing since the end of led zeppelin, who do you think is responsible for all the releases ie dvd's and albums.....all that....and as for JPJ he is playing day in and day out producing, attending festivals and so on.... so yes Robert has done much since the end in 1980 but not more than Page or Jones to consider them lazy....do some more research
