Mumbai Police to probe Akshay Kumar's 'unbutton' act
Mumbai, April 2 (IANS) It was meant to add a naughty zip to the Lakme Fashion Week, but Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's gesture asking wife Twinkle Khanna to unzip his jeans during the show has led to a police complaint against him for alleged obscenity.
The police have registered a complaint for the act during the fashion show held Monday, an official said here Thursday.
As per a written complaint lodged by Anil Nair, who claims to be a social activist, the gesture, which happened in full public view, was an 'obscene' act.
Confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nisar Tamboli said the police would enquire into it.
'If they are found guilty of obscenity, then we shall initiate appropriate proceedings against the actor and the organisers,' Tamboli said.
