When an ex-army colonel asked Meera Syal for pic of her in a bikini!
London, July 23 (ANI): British comedian Meera Syal has revealed how stunned she was when she received a letter from an elderly gentleman asking for a picture of her in a bikini.
Syal, who rose to prominence as one of the team that created 'Goodness Gracious Me,' has spoken about the moment she received the bizarre mail.
"There was a very sweet ex-army colonel guy in the West Country who used to send me letters with long anecdotes about his time in India and how lovely the Indian women were," the Mirror quoted her, as saying.
"But after a while came the letter where he asked me to send a picture of myself in a bikini.
"I was like, 'Do you know what? You sound old, so I'd better not, because I think it would probably finish you off,'" she added. (ANI)
