Six dead in US murder-suicide, Indian passport found
San Francisco, March 31 (Xinhua) Six people, including three children, were shot dead and one critically injured in an apparent murder-suicide in Santa Clara, a city in the Silicon Valley. An Indian passport was found inside the house where the shooting took place, media reports said.
The identities of the victims have not been released, the San Jose Mercury News said on its website Monday.
The suspected shooter, a man in his 40s, was found dead inside the house and there were two handguns used in the killings, Santa Clara Police Captain Mike Sellers was quoted as saying.
'It does appear as though they (the victims) were related,' Sellers said. 'But don't exactly know how. We're trying to sort out who is who.'
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the shootings are one of the deadliest such incidents in Santa Clara and in the San Francisco Bay Area in recent memory.
