Pappu Yadav invites PM to contest from Bihar
Patna, March 28 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been invited to contest the Lok Sabha election from Bihar by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Pappu Yadav.
'I invite Manmohan Singh, the world's most honest politician, to contest from any seat of Kosi and Purnia region. Millions will vote for him. Winning will be no issue,' Yadav told IANS over telephone from Madhepura.
Yadav's comment came after Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial aspirant L.K. Advani remarked that Manmohan Singh should have muster the courage to contest a Lok Sabha seat instead of seeking re-election to the Rajya Sabha.
Yadav said: 'It is my earnest request to Congress president Sonia Gandhi to nominate Manmohan Singh as Congress candidate from any seat.'
