Kochi (Kerala), July 22 (ANI): Kochi in Kerala is currently playing host to a photo exhibition based on next month's Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
The exhibition has been jointly organized by the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF) and Kerala Lalit Kala Academy.
The organizers said that the main aim was to boost friendly ties between the two countries that share a rich culture and heritage.
K.G. Komalan, National President, said "We just now started this organisation relationship's with china that also it because behind our culture, our culture, Chinese culture has so many common factors. So we want to develop it and we think in future, this will be a good relationship."
Visitors are thronging the exhibition in large numbers. They said that they could get a glimpse of Beijing sitting far away in Kerala.
"Good enough to bring these pictures, especially with the background of the oncoming Olympics for us even in Kochi, Kochi is not a very big you know city as compared to the cities of India, but even here we feel the pulse of what is going to happen," said George, a visitor.
China is scheduled to host Olympics in August this year. Beijing expects to host between 450,000 and 500,000 overseas visitors during the Olympics.
