Man held for contract killing of parents
Indore, March 26 (IANS) A 35-year-old man was arrested here for allegedly giving Rs.800,000 to two men to murder his parents, the police said Thursday.
The bodies of Ajay Jain, 59, and his wife Usha, 55, were found on the terrace of their two-storeyed house Wednesday.
'Since there was no forced entry in the house, we suspected involvement of somebody known to the couple,' Indore Police Superintendent Sanjeev Shami said.
According to police, Sidhartha Jain used to have frequent quarrels with his parents because he wanted money to expand his business. Also his father's decision to donate 15 acres of land to a trust had further strained their relations.
The police said Sidhartha has confessed to hatching a plot with his friend Vimal Jain to give a contract to kill his parents.
Sidhartha told the police that he had paid Rs.800,000 to two local criminals, Dilip and Ranjit, to murder his parents as he feared that his father would also give all the money received after his retirement to the trust.
The police have arrested Sidharta, Vimal and Dilip but Ranjit is absconding.
