Three candidates booked for violating poll conduct

Lucknow, March 24 (IANS) Lok Sabha candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) from the Shahjahanpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh have been booked for violating the model code of conduct, an official said Tuesday.

 

'A notice has been issued to Krishnaraj (BJP), Sunita Singh (BSP) and Mithlesh Kumar (SP) for wall writings at various public places like government offices, schools and colleges,' sub-divisional magistrate Dhan Prakash Srivastava told IANS on phone from Shahjahanpur.

 

 

He said the three candidates would be fined to recover the money spent on removing the wall writings from various places in Shahjanpur, about 200 km from here.

 

 

According to district administration officials, the notices were served Monday.
