Taliban kills eight policemen in Afghanistan

Kabul, March 23 (Xinhua) Eight policemen were killed Monday in an attack by Taliban rebels in Afghanistan's Kandahar province, a police officer said.
'The Taliban insurgents attacked a police patrol in Spin Boldak town, killing eight policemen and wounding another,' Sahib Jan, commander of the Highway Police in the region, told Xinhua.
He did not say if Taliban insurgents were killed or injured in the incident.
