London, July 21 (ANI): He may be the presenter of 'Make Me A Supermodel', but Tyson Beckford says that the age of supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer is now over.
The American model said that if today's wannabe models make it big in the fashion world, they need to be all-singing and all-dancing as well as drop-dead gorgeous.
"I believe the era of myself, Naomi, Claudia and Kate has gone now. Models are trained to act, sing and dance now because the bar is set so high and you have to stand out," The Daily Express quoted him, as saying.
The 37-year-old model, who has admitted he's been on a strict water and tuna diet to get back into modelling, spoke at the ThisDay music and fashion festival in Nigeria
He added: "It's difficult to be a household name these days, with so many reality stars that have no talent. But if you can get your 15 minutes of fame then I'd say take it!" (ANI)
