New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) A 53-year-old man was found dead in the Ashok hotel here early Sunday, police said.

Ahemedabad-based S. Maharaj Mohan, who was working with a surgical instruments company Meditech, came to attend a seminar at the hotel in south Delhi.

'One of his colleagues found his body at around 8.30 a.m. in his hotel room this morning. He was declared dead when taken to the doctor,' a police officer said.

The reason for his death is still unknown.

'He (Mohan) was a smoker and a diabetic. As of now, the most apparent cause for his death seems to be a heart failure, since there are no injury marks on his body. However, investigations are on,' the officer added.
